Rap-Head Response follows "Ice," along with a few other unlikely suspects into a twisted journey which ultimately brings out the best in each of them!! Once popular rappers in the "D" (Detroit), known as the "Rap Headz," Ice (Robert 7 Shannon), Ex (Carlos "Spanky" Hayes) and UNC (Christian Trick-Trick Mathis) couldn't step on the scene without stealing the show. Fans would scream "What Up Doe"or "Rap Headz in the Heezy" two steps into any building. Known for their smash hits such as "Shake it, but Don't Break It" and "Who Say WHAT!?", the Rap-Headz garnered success with certified Gold albums and traveled the world while stopping to taste the Rose' and smoke "Snoop Dogg" with Snoop Dogg!!! The Rap Headz were born and raised in the Motor City. Growing up off Mack and Bewick, deep in the heart of the city, these guys aren't blind to the abscence of government assistance in their neighborhood. Things had gotten so bad, that residents began organizing small groups to clean up the playgrounds and other areas. Unc wanted the three of them to get together and form a rap group because they were always keeping everybody entertained with their freestyle sessions. Ex agreed, but mainly because he thought it would score the big booty video girls. Ice, however was hesitant. He knew that once he started, he would have to be committed. So Ice and Ex watched as Unc took the first steps into the hip hop arena. Being from Detroit, Unc didn't have a problem getting a piece of the pie. His first album went certified Gold and was called "Cheers" cause Unc could drink everybody under the table. Eventually, Ex convinced Ice to take some of the raps they've been writing and record in Unc's studio. After a little hype, they moved into the business as well. They left the studios on fire and tore up stage after stage all over the Metro Detroit area. They even had a female dance crew called the "Rap-Head Hype Squad."
Just as the Rap Headz seemed to be reaching national attention, Unc got drafted into the military where he was enlisted to serve on the front line. He served in Iraq and during his time in the forces, schooled himself and later served as a Medic in the Army on the frontline. He would later be honorably discharged for a situation he is too embarrassed to say.
Well the Rap-Headz didn't die, because Ice and Ex blew up! I mean they went LARGE. Selling out houses EVERYWHERE. And I mean "houses". They would throw the best house parties in Detroit just to get some recognition. Once they got the recognition, they'd follow in Unc's footsteps, only THEY had the #1 single "Rump Humper" for 2 months straight! Ice and Ex took off on a National tour and left the hood hoping to NEVER have to return unless they were coming to party! Welp! The fast life is fast. The guys ran thru their money on weed, alchohol and strippers. Typical! Now they're back on Mack & Bewick chasing their tails once again. It was fun while it lasted. Or at least thats how Ice feels. Ex may not be able to give up the rap game so easily.
Through all their shenanigans, Ice has a baby girl by one of his flings. Camille is the beautiful light in his world now. He is staying with and taking care of his mother. Ex on the other hand is still holding on to the "good ole days". He believes that the Rap-Headz shall rule again. He is even trying to push a Rap-Headz reunion tour over in Japan where the guys are actually still pretty hot.
They drift apart and are brought together by fate. They meet up at a hospital as Ice is preparing to become an EMT and Ex is going to Emergency because he is an idiot. They are both handled by Penny who turns out to be an old member of the Rap-Head Hype Squad! Penny becomes the brains of the operation. Imagine Penny from Inspector Gadget. She gets the guys together and helps them realize what they need to do and how they need to do it. What we have now is the new and improved A-Team! After reuniting with Unc, these rappers turned EMT's are now just the misfits we need to save us if we're deep in the hood and need that 911 type of assistance. They may not get there fast because they don't have enough battery power to turn locations on for google/maps, BUT, they'll get there!!!
